This resource is for PATH Intl. Certified Professionals looking for a solid foundation on which to build their center Veteran program and those who are serving Veterans who have experienced trauma. This supplemental resource provides programming ideas for a wide range of centers and Veteran abilities; for example, sample lessons from a beginner on lead, all the way to advanced and riding on their own. There are short lessons on service dogs at the barn, working in the round pen, and mounting tips. This course was built with some of the BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding and Educational Center staff and their Veteran participants. BraveHearts worked with some of their Veteran participants to also collect testimonials showing how well this foundation has worked for their equine-assisted services program.

For PATH Intl. Certified Professionals serving youth who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect. This course aims to describe how trauma may affect EAA participants and guide instructors on how to develop a trauma-informed approach to EAA programming.
